Hello, my name is Riley Mulinix, and I’m running for Mayor of Norman because I believe it’s time for bold, creative solutions to the challenges we face.

Born and raised in Norman, this town is more than just where I live—it’s part of who I am. Growing up, whether I was playing soccer or running cross-country, I learned that teamwork, perseverance, and inspired action lead to meaningful change.

Today, I’m a practicing lawyer with experience across many areas of the law, but what drives me most is helping people—whether through my legal practice, sustainability projects to make Norman greener, or supporting initiatives like The Oklahoma Phoenix Project to help the homeless.

I’m passionate about creating a safer, healthier future for our children. That means supporting an effective, well-trained police force and eliminating harmful chemicals like glyphosate from parks, schools, and public spaces. Instead of spraying our public lands with cancer-causing chemicals, I envision transforming them into vibrant food forests—filled with fruit trees and edible plants—at schools, parks, libraries, and even police stations.

I’m also committed to cleaning up Lake Thunderbird and improving our water supply. Norman deserves clean, safe tap water—not the “Dirty Bird” reputation we’ve endured for too long.

Small businesses are the heart of our local economy, and I’m determined to make Norman more small-business-friendly by cutting red tape and fostering an environment where entrepreneurs can thrive.

For me, it’s all about bringing people together and finding innovative, win-win solutions that work. I’m here to listen, ask tough questions, and collaborate with YOU to shape the best path forward for Norman.
